Marian St Theatre for Young People

New and continuing students living with an intellectual disability aged 18+.

An accessible drama class for up to 8 young people aged 18+ who are living with an intellectual disability. Participating with others in a fun, inclusive and creative environment with drama exercises and improvisation games that give young people an outlet for their creative expression, build confidence and develop communication skills. The course will culminate in a short performance for family and friends at the year’s end.

DAY              Mondays, 4:30-6pm, one class a week

Note that MSTYP classes begin in week 2 of the school term

No experience necessary

TRIAL CLASSES:   You are very welcome to trial this class in the first 3 weeks of the term. Please call the office to arrange.

We welcome new students into the accessible class, however as this is a specialised class for students with specific requirements we encourage parents and carers to give us a call before enrolling online on 9880 2356 or email info@mstyp.org.au and we will call you back.

End of Year Showcase

MSTYP will be bringing together all of our drama classes for an end of year sharing to showcase our wonderful young people!

Date: Saturday 13th December

Location: Ku-Ring-Gai Town Hall, 1186 Pacific Highway, Pymble

Time: 12:30pm - 2:15pm

Performers are to meet their teaching artist at 12:15pm outside the hall and be escorted to the dressing rooms.

Not available at this time? Don't worry! You can still enrol - our experienced Teaching Artists will ensure your young person will build the skills ready to perform, even though they won't be present for the actual performance, and performance preparation will only take up a small portion of the class.
