A spin off of our beloved 1 Play in 1 Day workshop, with a Shakespearean twist!

In Mini Shakespeares, K-2 students with receive an age appropriate introduction to Shakespeare and spend the day creating a short performance based on a Shakespeare play, sonnet or story about Shakespeare's life.

Course Components

• Age appropriate introduction to Shakespearean language
• Identification of Shakespeare in modern contexts and adaptations
• Storytelling – story arc, story building,
• Stagecraft – spacial awareness on stage
• Collaboration / group work / ensemble building
• Vocal techniques – the basics of voice projection, diction and clarity
• Movement skills – introduction to stage physicality and movement
• Confidence building through performance in a fun and safe environment

Age group: Students in School Years 3-6 in 2025

Venue: Storey Park Community Centre, 12 Old Berowra Rd, Hornsby, NSW

Time: 9:30am - 4pm

End of Day Performance

Time: 3:30pm*

Students will perform their brand new play at the end of the day for family and friends! *Please note that the time is subject to change. Any updates will be communicated to families via email.
