Our beloved Make A Play Holiday Workshop has a new 2 full day format!

In this 2 day workshop, students will work with fellow young people and an industry Teaching Artist to create a brand new play, based on their own self devised superhero! There will be a performance on the afternoon of day two!

Course Components

• Acting skills – given circumstances, listening and reacting
• Characterisation - building a character from scratch, discovering their back story and unique voice and movement
• Storytelling – story arc, story building,
• Stagecraft – spacial awareness on stage
• Collaboration / group work / ensemble building
• Vocal techniques – the basics of voice projection, diction and clarity
• Movement skills – introduction to stage physicality and movement
• Confidence building through performance in a fun and safe environment

Age group: School Years K-2 in 2025

Venue: Living Hope Anglican (Kindy Hall, behind the Church). 9B Arnold Street, Killara 2071

Time: 9:30am - 4pm daily

Please use the street parking, there are many parks available! Please do NOT park on Church Driveway.

Short Performance on the Friday

The performance will be between 15-20 minutes. This will happen in the last hour on the Friday, with the exact time to be confirmed during the week. Please note that photography and videography of the performance is prohibited.
