Meet Teaching Artist, Chelsea Zeller!

Chelsea Zeller is a comedian, actor and theatre maker. She has devised and performed new works for The Malthouse Theatre, The Butterfly Club, Melbourne and Adelaide Fringe Festivals, and has toured with Regional Arts Victoria. Her recent solo shows at Melbourne and Sydney Comedy Festival had sold out runs. She is a graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts and The Second City Chicago and regularly teaches and performs with Improv Theatre Sydney. She tutors for Belvoir Education and the Foundation for Young Australians and is the co-artistic director of Fairfax Youth Initiative - a program offering young people living in regional and remote areas access to the arts.

Course Components

• Practical application of improvisation techniques through short-form scene work with other students
• Theatrical skills such as spontaneity, accepting and extending offers, character, emotion and status - and how these can be applied to any scene. 
• Creating a character through creative exercises as a group
• Creative story-building for comedic conflict and scene premise
• Overview and investigations of comedy techniques, such as: heightening, exaggeration, objective, obstacle, POV, double takes
• Reflection and Q&A with teaching artist

Please do NOT park on St Martins Church Driveway. There is parking available on Arnold Street.
