Marian St Theatre for Young People

New and continuing students in years K-3 at school. No experience necessary.

Learn to act, create and perform. Develop creativity and confidence through drama. 

Every class, students will work with a professional Teaching Artist to build acting, performance and creative skills, while also developing a deeper understanding of the world and of themselves.

Class components

• Introduction to the elements of drama and storytelling
• Discover elements of theatre and performance
• Use creative and investigative thinking to create characters and scenes
• Create and stage stories using dramatic skills
• Working with others and collaboration skills
• Using your voice and body - confidence, diction, projection, body awareness

Class Details

DAY        4 - 5pm, Tuesdays, one class a week

LOCATION St Ives - Community Centre, Off Memorial Avenue, St Ives (behind St Ives Shopping Village). Street parking available in Memorial Avenue, or at St Ives Shopping Village.

Performances

There is an Open Studio at the end of Term 2, and an informal performance at the end of Term 4.

Cost

TERM                                          $225 for 9 weeks (1 term)

TRIAL CLASSES                        $25 - Select 'Pay a Deposit' to book.

Do another class?

If your child wants to do more than one class in the same term, use the discount code 'MULTICLASS' and get $50 off your additional class. Offer not available for siblings, and valid only for weekly classes in the same term.
