New Workshop!

Due to our other April Holiday Workshop selling out, this is our second 5-8’s Holiday Workshop. It’s exactly the same as the other workshop, but just down the road in Gordon. Please do join before it sells out!

Curious about drama? Want to see if it’s right for you, but super busy in the term time?

Drama Holiday Workshops are a great introduction to drama – and many students come back each holidays for them! What looks like fun games are really important drama exercises that teach the fundamentals of performance, as well as build confidence, creative thinking and skills for working with others.

9:30am - 12:30pm daily

Throughout the week students focus on:

• Vocal techniques – the basics of voice projection and well as diction and clarity
• Movement skills – introduction to stage physicality and movement
• Improvisation and creating prepared pieces
• Characterisation and character development

And…there’s a short performance on the last day for family and friends! This helps students put into practice everything they’ve learnt throughout the week. Students do have to book in for the whole week as they’re working towards a performance on the last day.

These workshops often do book out as places are limited to 16 students. We believe a small class size gives the best drama experience for students!

These workshops are lots of fun and give creative inspiration for children over the holidays. So, why not give drama a go during the holidays?

THURSDAY 18TH APRIL
Our final day will be held in the Gordon Library meeting room (right next to Gordon Library itself) as the St John’s hall isn’t available on that day. Directions on how to find the room for this day can be found in the confirmation email.

TUTORS
Our tutors are qualified industry professionals and experienced teachers who introduce students to physicality and vocality, improvisation and text work. Students work together in groups and also by themselves to create pieces of theatre.
